change is part of the human experience
There is something within that calls to each of us. When we answer to this mysterious call, more of life's depths and sacred mysteries reveal themselves.
Life has a way of placing you in just the right places to prepare you for something that is uniquely your gift to experience and share. When growing up, the shifts and changes in my life were countless. I could have never imagined that through these experiences of upheaval, I would have learned that home and family could be created anywhere. It is all a matter of caring, intention, authentic relationships, and open hearts.
When going through both the joys and difficulties of life, there is no place like home and family, wherever that might be created for you.
I am the eldest of five children, the mother of three, and assisted in raising and supporting many other children while I raised my own. Growing up and living in New Mexico (and being a resident of the famed Santa Fe), has made me aware of my own gifts of deep spirit, connection, and ancient wisdom. I believe we are here as part of a greater wholeness. With this deep inner knowing - my love for learning, and endless curiosities - I was led to become more knowledgeable about the grander scheme of life.
My Journey led me to first-hand experiences in supporting individuals through difficult transitions in life, and ultimately, witnessing and shepherding people through the transitional phases of death. I learned the great value of one sharing one’s story, and the priceless legacy that stories leave for those left behind. I also learned the importance of a kind and caring support team to hold the space for the individual and their family as these transitions were taking place.
These lessons and experiences led me to my own next steps of becoming a Life Cycle Celebrant, followed by becoming a Certified Death Midwife/Home Funeral Guide. As these experiences unfolded for me, I realized I was being led back to the wisdom of my own heritage and ancestry.
