DEATH WITH DIGNITY AND GRACE

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide into the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and sea are one.

ANOTHER WAY: KNOWINGLY APPROACH DEATH

Planning * Dignity * Grace

I will be there before, during hospice, and with what comes after.

As a highly trained, certified Death Midwife and Life Cycle Celebrant, I guide the dying from this life’s journey into the next. Just as in birth, where we plan for the birthing process in order to bring more relaxation and comfort to new parents, so too does preparing consciously for death help us experience the transition with greater ease.

I can be of service from diagnosis to death:

  • During the pre-active stage of death, when the individual is still fairly well and able to make decisions about death planning.
  • During early stages of dying.
  • During the active, final stages of dying.
  • During the point of death and afterwards.
I live in the Northeast, and was recommended to ChrisTina when my beloved father was going through the dying process. She called me back immediately, and through several phone consultations, helped make this process a deeply gratifying and spiritual one. I cannot tell you how beneficial ChrisTina was throughout this experience! She guided me – and my father – through this heart-centered time with incredible sensitivity, knowledge and compassion. She also suggested some wonderful ways to help me and my father go through this emotional transition with more ease, comfort and meaning. I will forever be indebted to her.

Why would you need my services when you have hospice?

My services do not take the place of medical or hospice care, but rather provide natural and organic support to your family and team of caregivers. There is much to take care of during this time, and it can be overwhelming trying to navigate through everyday care. Much like a personal assistant, I become that extended family member who can provide invaluable information, spiritual guidance, and alternative ways to find comfort within the body (such as finding ease within the breath).

Where medical or hospice staff may be pressed for time; or family and friends may be anxious, upset or overwhelmed, I can be a safe container to guide you through. And because I do not have a past within the family dynamics, I can also bring neutrality and empathy to everyone involved - which can be of great service during this emotional time.

Whether you are in need of:

  • Rituals and support to help guide your loved one through the dying process
  • Ideas on how to create sacred space
  • Assistance in bringing about reconciliation and acceptance
  • Help to heal the pain of letting go, while connecting with something greater

Together we can create a peace-filled, safe and loving environment to help you and your loved one during these final precious days and moments.
